MICROMIL CARBONTECH

Micromil Carbontech is a science-based innovative-engineering company involved in the business of producing carbon nanotube (“CNT”) supermaterials. Because of the immense determination of wanting to be part of their customers’ transformation journeys, Micromil Carbontech was born.

With the glaring gap seen in the market for cleaner, efficient and higher-yield producing CNT, there was a need to develop something different, something innovative, something engineered for the 21^st century customer.

The outcome is Micromil’s strong understanding of the industry, technical know-how, access to raw materials and process ownership, geared towards the development and ownership of intellectual property in the CNT manufacturing space. This led to the creation of Tornadot – Micromil’s proprietary CNT brand. This could not have been achieved without the unwavering support of innovation engines A*STAR’s Institute of Materials Research & Engineering (“IMRE”) and Institute of Chemical & Engineering Services (“ICES”) – leading government and research institutions in Singapore.

The name Tornadot is derived from the words “Tornado” which is a testament to the high tensile strength of Micromil’s CNT products and “Dot” which refers to their prowess in nanotechnology. Tornadot is a Singapore homegrown brand that is innovatively engineered to suit customers’ needs.

Micromil envisions that a high-performance nano-engineering age is to come, and aims to be at the forefront of this. In all that we do, we strive to create products that are relevant to our customers.
